The best known grade is Type 304, also known as 18/8 and 18/10 for its composition of 18% chromium and 8%/10% nickel, respectively. The second most common austenitic stainless steel is Type 316. The addition of 2% molybdenum provides greater resistance to acids and to localized corrosion caused by chloride ions.
The excellent value for money makes the STELUX C the most used stainless steel abrasive media for blasting operations of non – ferrous metals and stainless steel parts, within respect of the most stringent specifications and standards, such as NADCA and ASTM A 380M.
Stainless steel is used for jewelry and watches, with 316 L being the type commonly used for such applications. Oxidizing stainless steel briefly gives it radiant colors that can also be used for coloration effects. Valadium, a stainless steel and 12% nickel alloy is used to make class and military rings.
Stainless steels do not suffer uniform corrosion, like carbon steel, when exposed to wet environments. Unprotected carbon steel rusts readily when exposed to the combination of air and moisture. The resulting iron oxide surface layer (the rust) is porous and fragile.

High Speed Steel with high molybdenum and carbon. It has high wear resistance, high red hardness and good toughness. With its low vanadium content, this grade has very good grind ability. Tungsten and molybdenum: improve red hardness, retention of hardness and high temperature strength of the matrix, form special carbides of great hardness.
Suitable to cut all types of alloy steel, it has High Toughness and good cutting properties. Cutting parameters which has high tensile strength, Tungsten in this tool steel makes it easy to cut them - hardness upto 64-67 HRC post heat treatment.
HSS M42 is finest effective High-carbon; high-speed steel grade based on Mo, with high resistance to wear, red hardness and toughness. This steel grade displays good grind ability as a result of its low V content. Tools severe mechanical wear, e.g. in cases of small cross-section cuts and high cutting speeds.

Forging Press Selection: How to Calculate Tonnage for Optimal Results
 · The screw press slider has a slow stroke speed and minimal impact, allowing for multiple deformations in a single groove. As a result, it can provide ample deformation energy for large deformation processes (such as upsetting and extrusion), and can also produce significant deformation force for smaller deformation processes (such as precision pressing and embossing).

› Stamping (also known as pressing) is the process of placing flat sheet metal in either blank or coil form into a stamping press where a tool and die surface forms the metal into a net shape. How do you use a stamping press?
A metal forming press, also known as a stamping press, is a machine tool used to precisely shape and cut metal typically using upward and downward movements. Metal, supplied in sheet, coil, or tube form, is pressed between two halves of a press tool. What is stamping press machine? ›
Sheet metal cutting operations in a stamping work is a shearing process. As the punch touches the sheet metal and travels downwards, it pushes the material into the die opening. The material is subjected to both compressive and tensile stresses.
The press tool ( commonly known as die/ dies) is an assembly of die, punch, punch plate, punch backplate, stripper plate, etc. to produce sheet metal components/ stamped parts from the flat metal sheet. For More information on press tools read our detailed article on sheet metal stamping.Press Workin...

FAQS
Stamping dies are the tools that shape and cut sheet metal parts. They are commonly developed using computer-aided design (CAD) software and analytical programs to create and prove-out highly accurate, unambiguous designs. These designs are then translated into stamping dies by skilled craftsmen, known as diemakers. What is sheet metal process? ›
Sheet metal cutting operations in a stamping work is a shearing process. As the punch touches the sheet metal and travels downwards, it pushes the material into the die opening. The material is subjected to both compressive and tensile stresses.
› Stamping (also known as pressing) is the process of placing flat sheet metal in either blank or coil form into a stamping press where a tool and die surface forms the metal into a net shape. How do you use a stamping press?
Like Stripper, push off pins, Ejectors, Knockouts. Fastening Components hold together all parts of the press tool as a unit. Like Punch Plate, Die block, All Fasteners. Feeding Components feed the blank or metal sheet to the stamping station. These components help to increase the rate of production.
